THE FUNKY FLAMINGO
Today on the TLV Blog, I want to talk to you about the Funky Flamingo.
After building and designing The Groovy Goat, we asked ourselves, “What next?” I mean, where do you go after something as awesome as The Groovy Goat?!
(If you don’t know what The Groovy Goat is, it’s our second most recent private vacation home, located on the Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach, Florida. Which is right next to the city of Destin. Check it out here.)
So, we got together and brainstormed. We looked on Pinterest for inspiration. (Don’t you just love Pinterest?) And the result of our combined creative efforts is now what is known as The Funky Flamingo.
We wanted a rental home as fun and exciting as The Groovy, but also different. So, we swapped out the moodier vibes and colors of The Groovy Goat for bright and poppy colors and vibes. But all still in a high-end, luxurious sort of way. I know that sounds weird, but if you don’t believe me, go check it out for yourself! It’s available to rent now! Check out the Funky Flamingo.
The Funky Flamingo is our most open and spacious home, with 8 Bedrooms, 8 Bathrooms & over 4,400 square feet. This luxury, resort style home comes complete with a large, private pool and spa, large kitchen & living room, and a dining room that can seat 20-22 people. This home also features: an outdoor kitchen, multiple screened-in patios, a cafe style coffee bar with a bistro table, an arcade on the 2nd floor, 3rd floor kitchenette with 2nd refrigerator, and a 3rd floor living and dining space.
That all sounds pretty great, right?!
But….. what makes The Flamingo funky?
We chose to add bright pops of beautiful blues all over the house, in places we normally wouldn’t put blue! As well as some really playful tile selections throughout the home. Some of the cabinets are blue, and even the doors. But it all works together beautifully to create a very luxurious and contemporary beach vibe.
We had a lot of fun bringing this project to life. We hope you’ll check it out, and maybe even make it your next vacation destination here on the Emerald Coast.
Thanks for stopping by! We’ll chat some more in the next blog post.
On to the next project!
